When choosing perfume, we want it to be an aroma that is unique and unrepeatable, of a fragrance that inevitably defines us anywhere, that evokes our presence wherever it is.
Have you ever heard of the olfactory pyramid? Good, because it is important to know it to be able to identify what your perfect fragrance is, that will not leave anyone indifferent.
The olfactory pyramid refers to the process through which the aroma of perfumes passes since we spray it on our skin.. The fragrances do not have the same intensity or the same aroma throughout the day, rather, it evolves and its characteristics change as the perfume goes through the different phases from its application.
- output notes: It is the first contact we have with the perfume. They are usually fresh scents that last just a few minutes. At Instituto Español some of our aromas are litchi, pomelo, peony, Mandarin, bergamot…
- heart notes: It is the most identifying aroma of the perfume. It is usually perceived after approximately two hours from its application and last up to four hours. Among them predominate in our family orchid aroma, jasmine, thyme, nutmeg, lower leg…
- background notes: They fix the aroma of the perfume and last up to twenty-four hours. Among others, our base notes smell of sandalwood, incense, madera, white musk, in vain…
