How can we recycle the gel containers, the moisturizer, colinias…? Surely you have asked yourself this question more than once, you finish any of our packaging and you don't know how to dispose of its packaging.
Today we tell you all the steps to follow to guarantee a correct recycling method, depending on the packaging material.
The recycling process of cosmetic containers varies depending on the material used for its manufacture. Currently we can find glass containers, plastic or aluminum, all three options are perfectly valid for recycling. Pay attention to the following tips, We will tell you how to act in each of the cases.
- Glass containers:
The ideal is to first empty the container to eliminate any remaining product and to be able to deposit it in its corresponding container.. We should also remove the label from the container in the event that it carries and it is possible.
Increasingly, products are intended to be environmentally friendly, when it comes to packaging, in order to achieve more sustainable packaging.
Glass and/or glass containers, what you will find in our perfumes, we must deposit them in the green container.
- Plastic bottles:
These containers must be deposited in the yellow container. From there, transported to a treatment plant, where the type of packaging will be classified.
After sorting they will be crushed, to later go through the washing phase where other types of materials that are not plastics will be eliminated.
With centrifugation and drying it is possible to leave the material free of water and clean to obtain small balls called pellets., which is what will be used as raw material to make other products such as clothing, pipelines, other packaging, etc.
Taking the material to the yellow container we manage to reduce the amount of waste that we generate in our day to day and the harmful gases that they emit when manufacturing it..
We leave you a series of identifying acronyms to know that, if your container carries them, you must deposit it in the yellow container:
- PET: Polyethylene Terphthalate
- HAVE TO: High density polyethylene
- PVC: Polyvinyl Chloride
- PEBD: Polyethylene and Low Density
- PP: polypropylene
- PS: Polystyrene
