International Day of the Iberian Lynx
The 12 In December, the International Day of the Iberian Lynx is celebrated..
On 1986, the Iberian lynx was classified as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The main reasons for its disappearance are:
- Destruction of their natural habitat, because they live in restricted areas of rural areas.
- The decline of the wild rabbit due to diseases, their main food source.
- hunting by man.
All these circumstances have positioned the Iberian lynx as the most vulnerable feline in the Iberian Peninsula..
Instituto Español it is located very close to Doñana, so taking care of our environment is paramount. Our manufacturing respects the non-emission of waste in any manufacturing process, just as we recycle all the materials we use.
We channel and reintegrate into the production cycle all those recyclable substances. One of the daily challenges of the Spanish Institute is the reduction of waste and garbage based on the new concept of zero waste.
In order to make the concept of “Zero Waste”, we leave you 5 basic points you should know:
- The goal of zero waste disposal in landfills, landfills and incinerators
- Industrial responsibility and product redesign
- Channel consumption patterns within ecological limits
- Develop circuits and infrastructure to recover resources in the best possible quality and use
- Ensuring social and environmental justice, respecting and involving all the sectors that make up the waste ecosystem.
We hope that today you have learned a little more with us. Do you sign up for a better future?
